How to use Pantone 2017 Color of the Year

Every year, Pantone selects the color that will be the “it” color of that year. The Pantone Color of the Year will weave itself into weddings, advertisements, and fashion choices throughout the year. It’s kind of a big deal! The colors you choose for a party will set the tone of that party from the moment your invited guest opens the invitation! The colors you choose are extremely important!

“A symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.” -Pantone

Pantone Color of the Year

The Color of the Year for 2017 is Greenery. This color is really different from past year’s selections. To me, it is a breath of fresh air! Greenery is calming, grounding, and easy to incorporate into most color palettes. The color green invokes calm and peace. It will ground your guests in nature and make them feel cool as a cucumber. “Being a combination of yellow and blue, green encompasses the mental clarity and optimism of yellow with the emotional calm and insight of blue, inspiring hope and a generosity of spirit not available from other colors.” (source)
